In nearly three decades as a practicing psychotherapist, Dr. Douglas Keene has helped many individuals, couples, and families achieve what they seek in life through powerful one-on-one sessions, couple’s sessions, and in workshops of his own design. He pursues his passion for marriage and relationship interventions, meditation and stress reduction processes, brief and thorough trauma treatment, and the latest methods for the treatment of panic attacks and anxiety.
Dr. Keene is a trained Mediator, Collaborative Divorce Coach and Divorce Mediator.
Dr. Keene’s background includes a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He is a former faculty member in the Graduate Counseling Department of California State University, Fullerton. He also has served as an Examiner and Subject Matter Expert for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. He is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Dr. Keene has served as a consultant to several companies. He is on several select insurance panels.
Dr. Keene is passionate about dogs, especially Kerry Blue Terriers. His office partner, "Boo", a Kerry Blue Terrier boy, is a trained and certified Therapy Dog. With a growing list of friends and admirers, Boo serves as a sweet and loving canine co-therapist.
